 Tanjung Bira is located in Bira Village, Bontobahari District, Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi Province. Tanjung Bira is famous for having white sand beaches with clear sea water, and as a place for Pinisi ships to sail throughout the archipelago. Tanjung Bira is located at the south-eastern tip of South Sulawesi Province, about 200 km from Makassar City. Transportation to Tanjung Bira currently available is via provincial roads, with a travel time of about 5 hours by car from Makassar. The long journey from Makassar to Tanjung Bira does not feel tedious, because along the way you can see soothing views: green rice fields, blue beaches and seas, salt ponds, and traditional houses.
